Happy Birthday Little ONEs!

I’m sharing a quick reference sheet for all of our favorite first birthday toys! Some of these items are “right now” toys that also will serve a different purpose as Mason grows & continues to learn. Other items purchased from our wish-list are more of “grow-into toys”, as I call them (I’ll reference these as (GIT)… Toys that may not be appropriate for Mason’s current skill-set, but they’ll be great to have in the upcoming months as he continues to grow! I like to add some of these type of items to our wish-lists, especially his birthday, because the next time he’ll get multiple gifts at once will be Christmas! (A solid 8 months).

I hope you find these helpful!

Right now Toys:

  1. Oball John Deere Hauler

  2. Green Toys Dump Truck & Tractor

  3. Kitchen (+GIT)

  4. Mega Blocks (+GIT)

  5. Cozy Coupe (+GIT)

  6. Little Tykes Slide (+GIT)

  7. Name Puzzle

  8. Water Table (+GIT)

  9. Chunky Puzzle

  10. Fisher Price Little People Play Set

  11. Maraca Eggs

I linked all of the items we have specifically, but there are so many different options out there!
For any boy mamas reading this, the Green toys truck/tractor have been great for Mason to play with on the floor while I’m getting meals ready! He crawls & pushes them around & we’ll put some toys in them for him to “haul” or dump out ;)

The Kitchen—I thought I was being a little ambitious getting this at his age. However, it has been such a blessing! We put this in our kitchen space, which makes sense right? He sees me cooking… he can over time practice those skills in his own kitchen! He is absolutely at a phase where he wants to open all of my cabinets and get things out. Having the kitchen nearby offers me an opportunity to put him in his own kitchen space where he can pull EVERY.SINGLE.ITEM out and be as loud and playful with them as he wants! It has been truly really fun watching him explore all of the kitchen items. We have the plush veggie basket from Ikea, some plastic play plates/cups/utensils/pots and some old school play food my sweet Mom saved from when I was a kid! We haven’t gone out and purchased too many items for this just yet.

Grow-Into Toys:

  1. Kinetic Sand + Toys

  2. Little Tykes Basketball Hoop

  3. Large Paint Brushes + Paint

  4. Sidewalk Chalk

  5. Chunky Pegs
